New Student Registration

Skyward is our Student Information System. As part of the registration process, you will create your Skyward Account. 

Skyward stores information that includes attendance history, grades, school reports, personal family information (address, phone, email, emergency contacts), and health information. Skyward is also used as a communications tool for teachers and administrators to send messages to families. You will find that Skyward is one of our most common communication methods with parents and guardians. Learn more about Skyward.

Once you have access to your Skyward Account, you will be able to upload all required documents for student registration. Those include two proofs of residency, in addition to the child's birth certificate, immunization records, and other medical records if necessary.

At registration, parents will be asked to provide two forms of documentation that establish the new student's residency in the Central York School District.

Documents required from parent(s):

• Proof of Residency - Must have two (2) forms of ID with address and signatures
  • Main form of proof: 
    • If purchasing - Mortage/Settlement Agreement (NOT sales agreement) or tax bill
    • If renting - Lease Agreement with Landlord signature
    • If living with someone else - Affidavit of Multiple Occupancy notarized by owner. Owner must provide two proofs of residency. 
      • Person residing with the homeowner/taxpayer is required to complete a Residency Verification Form and provide proof of residency (driver's license, utlitly bill which reflects the address of the homeowner/taxpayer)
  • Second form of proof: 
    • Utility Bill, Driver's License (with new address), Vehicle Registration Card
• Child's Birth Certificate

Incoming Kindergarten students must be five (5) years of age and incoming first-grade students must be six (6) years of age by August 31 of the upcoming school year. Parents should bring their child's immunization records and birth certificate.

Children entering school for the first time are required to have a physical exam, dental exam, health history, and record of immunizations. The School Nurse will provide parents/guardians of new students with these forms to be completed prior to the start of Kindergarten.

The following immunizations are required for all students entering school for the first time. Documentation from a health care provider is required:

• Diphtheria/Tetanus (DTP, DT, or DTaP): At least four properly spaced doses are required. The last dose must be on or after the child's fourth birthday.
• Polio (OPV or IPV): At least four properly spaced doses are required (4th dose on or after 4th birthday and at least 6 months after the previous dose given). 
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Two doses are required. The first dose must have been given on or after the child's first birthday.
• Hepatitis B: Three properly spaced doses are required. The third dose must have been given on or after six months of age.
• Chicken Pox (Varicella): Two doses are required. The first dose must have been given on or after the first birthday. Signed documentation, including the month and year that your child had chickenpox disease, is also acceptable at this time.
