Central York School District is home to approximately 800 employees that make up a proud community of seven schools, our Educational Service Center, and our Central York Cyber Academy. The District serves a diverse population of more than 5,800 students within Manchester Township, parts of Springettsbury Township, and North York Borough, Pennsylvania. Our community includes 40,000 residents that live in the Central York School District.

School Psychologist Paid Internship for Out of State Graduate Students

Central York School District is a recipient of Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Bureau of Special Education Grant: School Psychology Paid Internships for Out of State Graduate Students. The Bureau of Special Education is committed to ensuring your success in establishing or expanding school psychology internships that increase both the attraction and retention rates of school psychologists within Pennsylvania. The school psychologist intern will receive a $20,000 stipend for the 2023-2024 school year. PA HELPS School Psychologist Internship Program

The Central York School District Special Education Department is now accepting School Psychologist internship applications for the 2024-2025 school year. The district has completed the PA HELPS Application and Agreement through the Educational Specialist Preparation Program.

To be considered for PA HELPS, interns must:

Be a current resident of Pennsylvania.
Be enrolled in an Educational Specialist Preparation Program approved by the PA Department of Education that leads to educator certification as a:
- School psychologist
Be accepted to an internship at an LEA in Pennsylvania.
Agree to work at an LEA located in Pennsylvania as a school psychologist for a minimum of 3 years following completion of the respective Educational Specialist Preparation Program.

Funds will be disbursed to the LEA used to pay the intern during the internship. PA HELPS provides the following reward:

Field	Award During Internship	Commitment Award
School Psychologist	$25,000	$5,000 (Received 3 years following completion of the respective Educational Specialist Preparation Program.)
